You can get to Isle of Barra by air or by ferry. 

The Caledonian MacBrayne ferry runs from Oban to Castlebay Four times a week from October - January, Three times a week from January - March and Eight times a week from March - October, Five of which are direct from Oban, One from Tiree and Two from Lochboisdale. To reach Barra by air you can travel daily from Glasgow Monday - Saturday. Barra - benbecula also operates daily as does Benbecula - Stornoway. For specific information on flight paths or schedules please visit Flybe
