Old Croft HouseBruernish Isle of BarraThis is a traditional croft house with thick stone walls and rounded corners. Located overlooking the shore on the East side of the island, the croft house offers stunning views over the bay to the uninhabited islands to the North and East of Barra. The area is a haven for bird life, with regular sighting ravens, golden eagles and occasional glimpses of sea eagles around Bruernish Hill. The old Croft House is situated within 10 metres of the shore where seals can be seen regularly and otters can be glimpsed swimming across the bay below the house.AccommodationDownstairs:•Open plan Sitting room & kitchen •The kitchen has electric cooker, washing machine, dish washer, microwave and fridge •Large double bedroom•Single bedroom with additional pullout bed•Walk in Shower room/toilet and wash hand basinUpstairs:•Twin bedroom•Bathroom with bath toilet and wash hand basin•Headroom upstairs is restricted Bed linen and towels are provided.TV, DVD player, radio/ CD player are available.A mobile phone is provided for ease of contact.In the sitting room there is a solid fuel stove which heats the water and the central heating. In addition there is immersion heating for hot water. Coal is provided.Electricity is by card meter and £10 is provided start up. The cottage will accommodate 5 people (6 with the pullout bed)Pets are welcome but not in the bedrooms!
