Tigh Ciorstaidh is a lovely cottage on the East side of Barra with stunning views across Loch Na Obe to the Sound of Barra and Eriskay.  The cottage is on the main island bus route and is just 5 minutes from the airport and ferry to Eriskay/Uists and 15 minutes to Castlebay.
 

Accommodation consists of:

  • Large family room with one double and one single bed.
  • Living room with snug bedroom - bunk bed and desk.
  • Newly renovated ground floor.
  • Double and twin room upstairs.
  • Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, washing machine and dryer.
  • Bathroom with shower.
  • All linen and towels provided.
  • Pets welcome.

  • No smoking.

Directions

From Castlebay: (apr 5.0 miles) At the T-junction at the top of the exit road from the ferry terminal turn right, signposted Bagh a Tuath (Northbay.) After 2.5 miles enter Earsairidh (Earsary), then drive through Rubha Lios (Rhulios) and Hellisay View is situated at Buaile nam Bodach (Bolnabodach.).
 
From Airport: (apr 3.5 miles) Turn left out of the car-park, following the main road through Aird Mhithinis (Ardveenish) to enter Bagh a Tuath (Northbay.) Turn left, signposted Bagh a Chaisteil (Castlebay – east side) and follow the main road passing through Bogach and Morghan, to Buaile nam Bodach (Bolnabodach).
 
From Ardmhor: (apr 2.5 miles) Follow the road from the ferry terminal to T-junction, then turn left (signposted Bagh a Chaistel) on the main road passing through Aird Mhithinis (Ardveenish) to enter Bagh a Tuath (Northbay.) Turn left, signposted Bagh a Chaisteil (Castlebay – east side) and follow the main road passing through Bogach and Morghan, to Buaile nam Bodach (Bolnabodach).
