You may be able to get fresh produce from local crofters if you talk nicely to them. If you are lucky you may get fresh vegetables straight from the ground.

If you catch a diver coming into the shore or doing a landing you may be able to get a selection of the finest and freshest shellfish available.

Like divers, if you time it right and catch the fishermen landing their catch you can approach them and see the selection of whitefish and shellfish that they have caught and landed that very same day.
