St Barr`s Cottage

St. Barr’s cottage has been recently renovated and is situated in Garrygall, beyond the village of Glen with Barra’s highest peak, Ben Heaval in the background. The cottage is within one mile’s walk of the main village of Castlebay.

 St. Barr's Cottage accommodates 4 adults and comprises:

  • Living room (with Sky TV, CD/Radio)
  •  3 bedrooms (2 twin bedrooms on 1st floor, 1 double bedroom on ground floor)
  •  Kitchen with dining area (washing machine, microwave)
  •  Shower room with toilet and wash basin
  •  White meter heating in all rooms
  •  Garden with seating area
  •  Parking available to the side of the house
  • Linen and towels provided
 

Rental costs :

  • April, May & September: £300 per week
  • June, July & August: £360 per week
  • October – March: £250 per week

Rentals are weekly and run from Saturday to Saturday. 
Please enquire for shorter rentals.
Arrival: The cottage will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival
Departure: The cottage should be vacated by 11am

Restrictions:

No pets allowed

Non-smoking accommodation

Bookings are secured on payment of a 25% deposit which is payable by cheque 1 month prior to the beginning of the rental period.
 

 

 

 

 

Directions

From the ferry terminal in Castlebay (by car):Turn right at the top of the exit road from the ferry, passing the main street in Castlebay. Continue on to the road junction and take the Glen road (left) where you see the signpost. Carry on up this road until you come to another junction. Continue up the road a further 250 metres - St. Barr’s cottage is the 4th house on your right. On foot, this will take approx. 20 minutes.

 From the Airport: 

Turn left out of the airport car park and follow the main road to Northbay. At the t-junction, turn right to Castlebay (via the West Side). Follow the main road to Castlebay passing the main street until you come to the junction for the Glen road then follow the directions as above.
